And it also still shows if you set Line Color to No Line. Shadow is
independent of line. That's irrelevant - just set the shadow to not visible
if you don't want a shadow. You can accomplish the same thing by either
setting Line Color to No Line or by setting Line Style/Transparency to 100%
(1.0).

You used a shape that you constructed in the UI? I guess that's OK, and
useful if you want all (or most) shapes to be stroke-less. But you can set
it for any particular shape by the way I said - setting the transparency of
the line format of the shape to 1.0:
set transparency of line format of shape 3 of s to 1.0
There's something wrong altogether with the line style enumeration of line
format. Although the the enumerations other than 'line style unset' don't
error, and can be retrieved after setting, they don't actually DO anything
in the UI when setting. I'll report that too.
