Hi all, this is my first post to the list so i will introduce breefly
myself.

My name is Jordi and work for a post-production facility
[http://www.the-mill.com] in London (UK) developing those commercials
you see on TV and Cinemas. Since Mac OS X we have been keeping an eye on
Apple for our work and finally we have a FCP/Shake/Motion system
integrated in our network.

Description

I need our MacOSX to compress Quicktime movies automatically frome
sequences of images based on a watch folder text file. This file should
have basically the absolute path for the images and a few parameters
like PAL/NTSC/HD.. start/end of the sequence and absolute path of the
audio file.

The problem is that i can't find a way to compress from the command line
so i am looking a bit to AppleScript to do the job.

Questions

Is this the right way? could be better? Automator scripts could do that?
do i need to develop a compiled app in order to do this? can i use
Compressor for the task?? (does not look like though)

Anyway, thanks in advance for your help and sorry for the spam.
