Andrew,
this is a "typical" problem when you're targeting a Classic
Application; to solve it, just coerce the values you're expecting to
receive into another type (i.e. integer or real)
Hope this could help,

Hi all I am writing a script in OS X 10.4.2 that interacts with
Quark 4.11 via Classic. When I try to get the scale of an image I
receive raw data as a result. For example instead of getting
{"50%", "50%"} I am getting {«data FX% 00008000»,«data FX%
00008000»}. Does anyone know how I could coerce this data into the
strings that I require?
Thanks
Andrew
