There seems to be more here than meets the eye!

When I paste

posix file "test:ing"

into a blank Script Editor window and either compile or run the script, nothing happens...unless I've selected Event Log instead of Result, in which case the following is logged:

tell current application
    «event ascrgdut» 0
    «event ascrgdut» 0

If I then compile again, nothing happens at all; but if I *run* the script a second time, though nothing is logged, I get the "hang" that others have reported, and the same on subsequent runs.

If I cut and repaste, the results are the same as the initial try.
