Abort a runaway script in Apple Script Menu

Does anybody know how I can abort a (compiled, non-application) script that was invoked from Apple Script Menu, but never exits?

I have a test script that runs forever and beeps periodically. I use it as a test case for FastScripts' "abort running script" function, but I occasionally end up accidentally invoking it from ASM. Then I have to restart my machine to get the beeping to stop.

I've tried removing the ASM widget from the menu bar, even killing the SystemUIServer. What do I have to kill to get ASM-invoked scripts to stop?

Daniel
