Ah. So this is all because of those accented e's and a's. Even though they
are MacRoman, they are turned into Unicode when the data goes onto the
clipboard.
So there are two reasons I didn't see any problem. (1) I was using text that
didn't get turned into Unicode. (2) I was using Entourage 2004 which handles
the Unicode text on the clipboard just fine in any case.
