Getting font info without activating them

Hello from Hamburg! Does anybody know how to get infos about fonts without activating them in font book or suitcase or anything else?

Something like

set myFontInfo to (get font info for posix file "~/Desktop/myNewFont")
display dialog postscript name of myFontInfo
display dialog kind of myFontInfo
display dialog font id of myFontInfo
display dialog family name of myFontInfo
etc…
