Hi Jay,
I use here this command:
do shell script ("sendmail -bm " & theAddress & " < " & "/pathto/yourtextFile.txt") as text
One must be admin user to run this...
hope this helps.
Bernardo

Hi all,
I have seen there is a man page for “mail” in the Terminal. It then seems possible to use a system-based email sending command line without actually scripting an existing email client to send out mail. Is this right ?
If so, how exactly must i write my do shell in AS? I’m not really familiar with the command line and know things can get pretty messed up if I’m not sure of the process. I need to specify a subject, a single recipient and a tab delimited body (that will be interpreted by the receiving email client and AS)
Thanks in advance !
J.
