Dear Forum's Members,
our goal is to synchronize events of a iSync compatible device (such as
Treo 650) with our calendaring application.
>From our app we can script iCal and would like to use it as a "syncing"
intermediate platform.
If we create and modify events directly in ICal the DTSTAMP field is
modified accordingly and we are able to select only the events that have
been modified after a certain date.
But if we isync iCal with a palm device (specifically the Treo 650) the
event info are updated but the DTSTAMP field is not modified and therefore
we cannot know which events have been modified by Palm. Is this behaviour
normal or is it a bug?
We have tried syncing palm contacts with Address Book and the timestamp in
the vCard record is updated.
Our question is:
- is it correct that after an isync session the DTSTAMP field of vcal
records modified by Palm is not changed?
- if it is correct which workaround do we have to know that a iCal record
has been modified by iSync?
We have tested this in various flavors of mac OSX 10.3.9 to 10.4.2.
Thanks in advance
Gianni Morelli
