Smile or AS-Studio?

I'm about to do a smaller app where I need to do some basic communication with the user like set the filepath, a couple text fields, radio buttons, show a progress bar etc in a neat window. Now I'm an equal beginner to both environment and I just like to know if they are just as bad (good) or if the one of them is a bit easier to deal with and faster to learn.
