I'm sure I'll still write lots of small script tools in AppleScript,
but for bigger jobs, I feel a strong tug in the direction you
indicate (not just obj-C, but C++ or C as well). Shell scripting has
moved in permanently. You just can't ignore all that capability in
your hands.
