Well, it was only based on having spent the last 20 year's of my life
earning a living from separating images...
If the OP wants to produce CMYK that is worth printing then they'll need to
look at the images and make decisions about things that scripts aren't
capable of.
Or maybe you have a script that can work out if the original RGB profile is
correct - or what it should have been if it is missing?
And another script to work out what the rendering intent for the conversion
should be?
And another script to apply the appropriate amount of USM - including the
ability to apply varying USM amounts to each channel should the image need
it?
What's your problem with Photoshop?
At least you can script it - unlike Apple's publishing apps...
