I have been trying to get iCal to switch views (from weekly to daily) so
that I could print out the daily schedule. I thought that it might be
difficult to switch views, but that turned out to be simple. I can even
switch back so that I see the weekly view when I first get to the
computer in the morning. However, printing is a different matter.
Naively I thought that I would just tell iCal to print and it would then
appear at my printer. Unfortunately, all the print command does is
bring up the print dialog box. I looked at a few other programs and saw
that some of them have a boolean for whether the dialog should appear,
but iCal does not seem to understand my attempts to print without a
dialog box.
Next I looked at using System Events, but just using keystroke return
(or keystroke (ASCII character of 13)) does not seem to work. I tried
to find the id of the Print button, but it seems to be hidden behind an
unknown UI and so far I have not been able to click it.
Is there some method of telling iCal to print without the dialog box?
Failing that, has someone found the magic incantation that will let me
simulate clicking the default print button? Am I totally out of luck?
