Downloading and playing with some OSX-compatible SAs shows that
everything works as it is supposed to.
You're not alone. I just recently ran into this confusion as well. I
added a couple scripting additions which I thought were OS X compatible
because I could open them with Script Editor, yet it would never show
up as a dictionary and the syntax never worked. I played the, try to
figure out what I was doing wrong game too. Yep, they were for Classic.
Apple ought to detect that it is classic-only and put up an appropriate
dialog if you try to open it in Script Editor.
