Very interesting, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. How does Javascript communicate with the Acrobat application? Via Apple Events?
Ummm... not sure. Maybe someone techier than myself could answer this one.

Depends on how good you are with JavaScript! ;-)
or rather that JavaScript can do things with the Acrobat aplication that AppleScript cannot?
The AppleScript dictionary for Acrobat is quite limited. There are lots of things you can get a JavaScript to do that you can't get AppleScript to do. When I run into obstacles with Acrobat and AppleScript I usually check out the JavaScript Reference.
