Trash not working

  • Subject: Trash not working

This is odd.

All of a sudden I can not send anything to the trash or empty the trash. I haven't loaded any odd things, and I know it was working a few months ago (the last time I used the trash feature in a script). Anyways... does anybody know what file I would have to reload to get this feature back? If it is indeed a faulty file.

When I try typing in ... tell application "Finder" to empty trash ... I get ... "Expected end of line, etc. but found application constant or consideration." When I drop the "trash" off the command, it comes back with empty as a variable.

When I use the code ... tell application "Finder" to move file "thisfolder:thisfile.ps" to trash ... everything compiles fine, but when run it goes ...
"Finder got an error: Handler can't handle objects of this class.

On the file that I picked up that had a formerly used trash call...

	tell application "Finder"
		«event fndrempt» «class trsh»
	end tell

comes up instead of empty trash.

I'm running OS 10.3.7, all up to date with every Software Update available. Applescript Editor 2.0 (v43).

HELP!!!! Any would be appreciated.
