Good day.

I'm looking for a way to send an email to a fixed address via Applescript, without having to open an email client. (I don't want to get into checking for which client is available, and setting up conditional support for each potential client.)

Is there some way, without resorting to setting up any additional services in Panther, to send a short email without a client?
