No. As far as I can see, in iCal you have one window and one view (day view/week view/month view), and all visible calendars are shown in that view. Calendars don't seem to have a visible property, so I can't see how you can show or hide them. The name or uid would therefore be useful only when reading and writing calendar data...


I may be wrong though...
