Just what I was looking for, Thanks.
As far as pressing the Home key is concerned, you need to use the
"key code" command, and for that you need to know the "AsyncKey
number". You can use the tool "AsyncKeys!" to find out the asynckey
number of a key. Here it is:

This program is a little buggy, but it still basically works. Run
the program, press the key and it will show the asynckey number for
it. To make a long story short, though, the asynckey number for the
Home key is 115. So:
tell application "Finder" -- the existence of a folder (list view)
is assumed in this example
activate
tell application "System Events"
key code 115
end tell
end tell
