Well, if you're a believer in the psychic power of the Motley Fool(s) and if
you're an Apple stock holder (I'm guilty on both counts), this is not the
thin-margin hope of the future at Apple, I suspect...er, hope. ;)
I would love, however, to see an Apple on everyone's desk, not just the
teachers'. And so, I am with you on the "still counts as a hardware sale".
I hope such sales in the future (there will be many) have wide enough
margins to pay for the brilliant OS we've been funding -- and I have faith
that they will. It's a great move, and can only help hardware margins on top
of all the other benefits.
Good job, everyone at Apple.
This is one of the wildest curves on the roller coaster so far, and I am
trusting that the forces are balanced so as to keep my ass in the seat.
Yippee! Let's go again! Let's go again!

P.S. The Motley Fool said "...Apple's target isn't Microsoft, it's Dell..."
That's bold, man. And beautiful.
