I enjoyed my first session with Quartz Composer (/Developer/
Applications/Graphics Tools if you've installed the Developer Tools).
This is a 'user-oriented' programming system too, and on the face of
it it's much more 'Mac-like' than AppleScript, since it's all icons
and drag and drop, rather than typing... It gets a bit spaghetti-like
eventually, but then my scripts do too. :-)
It's interesting to speculate whether the QC approach could ever
develop into a fully-fledged equivalent or alternative to AppleScript.
