going from eudora to Mail

  • Subject: going from eudora to Mail

i have some pretty spiffy eudora scripts but

due to some server problems it seems that I am forced to migrate to MAIL in stead of eudora

basically I can receive mail ok but I cannot send mail any longer using eudora

but I can send mail using MAIL

it all happened today when my ADSL provider stopped port 25

dont ask !

after much trouble of testing various configurations in eudora; nothing helped

then I set up MAIL for the first time and I could send email again :-))

therefore my question is;

I have never scripted MAIL before - can I do the same in MAIL that I could in eudora ?

(yes its an unfair question !)

fx. scripts that makes new messages, script that read from content of a message and transfers data
script that transfers a message accroding to what is in the subject line ?

bye

Christian Vinaa
