Hello,
I was having some problems with very simply scripts. Things like...
tell application "Finder"
set f to choose file
get name of f
end tell
Would fail every time
Also this script
tell application "Finder"
set f to choose file
end tell
Would return
alias "toddgeist:Desktop:quotes.fp7"
This looked wrong to me. Where was the rest of the path? Then I remembered that I had File Vault on. When I turned it off everything worked. The above script returned the full path
alias "Macintosh HD:Users:toddgeist:Desktop:quotes.fp7"
My question is. Is this a known issue? Is there a work-a-round?
