Does anyone know of an OSAX for using serial communications that runs

I haven't checked out any Classic osaxen that might work, as I'm
unsure about the mechanics of getting the drivers (installed under Mac
OS X) to work in Classic mode. It would be great if someone can
enlighten me on this issue.
Ideally, the OSAX would let me set comm parameters (baud rate, bits,
parity, echo, etc.).
Thanks.
Sorry, can't help but left of centre thought 1: If you've got FileMaker
5 or 6, take a look at Troi Serial Plug-in
<http://www.troi.com/software/serialplugin.html>.
Left of centre thought 2: Check out Apple's documentation. IIRC, serial
devices are presented as "files" somewhere to which you can then write
and read text. Wonderfully vague I know but it all seemed eminently (do
script) scriptable. However, I never went too far down this track as I
ended up with a hack around thought 1 above.
