I vote for number 2 but it needs to be a more serious frown. Where is the Wombat option?
Tiger no longer supports AppleTalk over Ethernet to the likes of SE/30's running OS 7.5.3 and I am dependent on the real RS422 serial ports in those pussycats. I have installed OS 10.4 and subsequently backed out to 10.3.9. Pretty much a full day's work and $128+tax for a nice party and a free beer at Voelker Research..

No notice of the major change in the sales literature. Is that false advertising?
To continue with OS neXt I'll probably go to old Intel boxes running Linux to get the hardware connectivity I need. They have easily programmed parallel ports. For that matter maybe I should change the whole shop to Linux.
But then perhaps it will be considered a bug to be fixed in 10.4.1 as it was somewhere between 10.1 and 10.2.
