You can set extension to files under Mac OS < Mac OS X.

How does the file system or OS use file extensions versions of the OS before OS X? So far as I know those versions of the OS do not know anything about file extensions. In OS 9, you can have a MacWrite document named "resume.jpg" or a Macpaint picture named "portrait.html" without any sort of conflict.


Instead of telling me that I'm wrong, please show me where I'm wrong.
