Any way to get iChat to execute a script?

  • Subject: Any way to get iChat to execute a script?

AOL Instant Messenger has long had the ability to execute an AppleScript
based on an event action, such as a buddy becoming available, etc, and I had
*so* hoped that iChat 3 would give me the same ability...unfortunately we're
still stuck with only three choices: making a sound, bouncing the icon, or
speaking some text.

Is there some way, perhaps even a clever kludge, to get iChat to execute a
script based on an event?

Bill
