Did you enable the scripts menu and verify that your script is showing up in it? Actually, I'm just presuming this approach works. I would think it would, and it should, but I haven't actually tried it. Maybe things in Apple's Scripts menu can't have keyboard shortcuts via this method? FYI, I use FastScripts.
