It has nothing to do with recognizing it - that's just a poorly-worded dialog if that's what it says.

Well, actually it said "invalid File Type '.scpt File Name : 'Vacation.scpt'"


It's not safe to
upload or download files that have not been encoded - it's looking for a
.sit or .sip or other suitable extension indicating you've done that (it may
still even allow .hqx but I doubt it).

There are two other scripts that I wrote that are there in compiled script format. I downloaded them without any problems.
