There appears to be some confusion that I felt needed to be clarified. :)
As some of you may, or may not know, MacScripter just underwent a huge
update.
In regard to ScriptBuilders, this was a total rewrite which includes many
new features. Of those, we have implemented a new authors login system, so
you can manage your assets directly.
Paul would be correct. Files must have proper encoding [compression] prior
to uploading them. ScriptBuilders accepts just about all file types:
.sit, .sitx, .sea, .zip, .hqx, .gz, .tgz, .cpt, .bin, .tar and .dmg
While some are to support Mac OS9 and before, we also accept the most
popular formats used under Mac OS X too.
While not mandatory, we do urge authors to use lower case letters, but
moreso use underscores in the file names so there are no spaces in the
binary name.
Also, as ScriptBuilders is a repository, we rely on file versioning to keep
up with authors files. This is significant, as when you update your file on
the server, this is how the system keeps track of file numbers, versioning
as well as the counter hits and its history over time.
