Thanks every one. The suggestions worked nicely.
I would have just one other question on this. Is it possible to change
some items in the list... The whole idea is that when I do the list
disks, the names that appear are not the actual drive names but the
parent folders... EG: a drive that would be the folder called
MyDepartment would actually come up as allDepts because the mount is
only to the point where the folder resides and not the folder itself. As
users are used to seeing the name MyDepartment, if they see allDepts in
the list, then would be confused. Is it possible to find and replace
specific items in a list, based on the script already at hand that weeds
out local drives ?
