Not offhand. I can't test for the network thing at the moment, since
I'm currently using a standalone machine (and Tiger evidently doesn't
want to talk to my poor old pre-OS X antiquities).
From your other code, I see you've already tried Finder's update.
Does it help if you try sending the same command more than once
(obviously in a try block - and perhaps with a short delay between
calls)? And what happens if you try a straight (count items) under
the same conditions? Do you get the correct result every time?
(Just a couple of stray musings, really. I really should leave this
to those better able to see and test the behaviour for themselves...)
