tell to distant machine under Mac OSX Server

  • Subject: tell to distant machine under Mac OSX Server

I have problems with authorizations to control an application on a distant machine

I'm using

tell app "Smile" of machine "eppc://gorky.local"
	activate
	beep
end

I got a message :
a system error has occurred : ReadOnlyMemory exception

gorky is under MacOSX Server 10.4.2 with users mounted from LDAP/NFS from a Linux Box Fedora 3

Under Terminal I have :

osascript -e 'tell app "Smile" to beep'
kCGErrorRangeCheck : Window Server communications from outside of session allowed for root and console user only
INIT_Processeses(), could not establish the default connection to the WindowServer.Abort trap (core dumped)

On System Preference, Distant AppleEvent and session are checked.

Clearly other kind of permissions should be set up somewhere. Who knows ?

Thanks for advices,

Bernard
