Hi,
I am trying to put together a script that orders all my text frames/page
items based on their x, y coordinates as opposed to their creation time.
Indesign CS and CS2 basically indexes all items based on when they were
placed/made.
I tried using the 4 values in the geometric bounds property and assigning
them all to one variable and then sorting them but the Acme command only
sorts by one item at a time and also I am not quite sure now how I would
approach this mathematically.
The values in each box for example are {1,2,4,5) then again another box
(2,4,3,5) etc. and I have not been able to come up with a sort algorithm
that would do the trick. I have about 16 charts with over 300 boxes were I
am trying to label each element in reading sequence right to left top to
bottom any ideas on how I would approach the problem?
Best, Patrik
