Whoa! That's a lot of results. And a lot of years.

I suggested "starts with 'tell application'...", meaning that I think a good
sample-script search query is:

    tell application microsoft excel


As for being or not being astute, well, I'm not particularly into that kind
of thinking myself. I'm more of the Richard Bach/Hugh Prather school:  We
are all teachers, learners and doers.
