Paul, you know we are several French readers. In case it's not clear, the chevrons are our quotes, we write:


They really say "I love you"

would be:

Ils veulent dire «je vous aime»


So when you want chevrons not to be quotes you could quote them. We understand the sentence you wrote like if the list did not munge "and" - of course it does not!


Please quote when quoting our quotes, write:

the AppleScript-Users list does not munge "«" and "»"

(similarly on SUL: The evidence of "«" and "»" instead of: The evidence of « and »)
