Right you are, Michelle. So, I then tried saving it as a read-only
application bundle. Then I was able to view the package contents.
Script editor refused to read the script component (main.scpt).
TextWrangler would open main.scpt, but it was mostly unreadable.
Perhaps Script Editor saves scripts with some form of compression. At
any rate, it would probably take someone with a deep understanding of
how Script Editor saves documents to figure out how to retrieve a
script from that random-looking text.

Unfortunately, a Run Only AppleScript doesn't display that option
in the Finder, even though it's an application.
The only applications that show that in the Finder are application
bundles; not all applications are bundles.
