Apply User and Groups to Items in a Folder

Hello,

Is there a way that I can apply the Owner and Group Settings of a folder to all of the items in the folder using applescript.

Ideally there will be no password dialog.

Basically the problem is that every new file that goes into this folder needs to have the Owner and Group set the same as the folder. I was hoping that an Applescript could do it either triggered manually or as part of a folder action.

Any ideas?
