Not quite clear what you're after. Script Editor is for editing and running scripts written in OSA languages. If you want to work with standard Ruby, there are various editors available - RDT, TextMate, etc. - I'm sure the folks on comp.lang.ruby can give you recommentations. If you're looking for an OSA-compliant version of Ruby, see Philip Aker's RubyOSA component, which provides basic OSA support (i.e. load, save, compile and run, but not fancier stuff like event handling or recordability):
