It works fine in Panther. You can see that you didn't do it right. You
created an "iTunes" subfolder directly in ~/Library/Scripts/, instead of
first making an "Applications" subfolder in ~/Library/Scripts/, and then an
iTunes subsubfolder in "Applications". I.e. the path should be
~/Library/Applications/iTunes/
as I said the first time, not
~/Library/iTunes/
that you say you tried. That puts a visible submenu into the script menu -
which can be very useful when you want to be able to access an app's scripts
from anywhere, without first having to switch to bring the app to the front,
but have so many scripts you need some organization by app/submenu. Both
methods are useful.
The /Applications/ subfolder works just fine in Panther (even in Jaguar, if
I remember correctly, but that's too far back). The improvement in Tiger, as
someone else pointed out, is that you don't have to remember how to do it:
you can just go to Open Scripts Folder/Open [AppName] Scripts Folder submenu
item in the Script menu when that app is in the front, and it makes the
Applications folder for you too is this is your first one.
