Further, Eudora Mailboxes are stored as appended text files, so the email and the "attachment converted" follow one another in that file with a complete path to the attachment. It might be easier to just go after the mail file directly.
Eudora at the V5 level in OS 9 uses aliases, or perhaps file IDs, so that an attachment moved to another directory on the same disk will still be recognized. I suspect they are stored in the index resource of the mailbox. I donno about OS neXt and Eudora is not running over there.
The date and time presented by default is the date set by the sender with no attempt to check for purposely changed dates on spam or badly adjusted system clocks. The most recent Received: header is better because it's set by a trusted server. I don't think Eudora ever records the message download time.
Start searching the Eudora Settings file from TidBits.
