*The* avenue for reporting bugs is through ADC.

If Apple really cared about "developers" who are a trusted and capable lot,
they would allow ADC members to perform limited searches through reported
bugs. As of now, even if you have a radar number that "belongs" to someone
else you're not allowed to see how it has progressed or if you have anything
new to contribute.

The problem with that, as expressed to me, is a way to consistently redact confidential information. If that's not done, then a company could use Radar as a way to figure out what the competition is working on and what problems they're having.

Should I report this one? Naah, it's so obvious that it surely has been
reported, hasn't it? The hell with it I have to go lookup my password and get
the browser working - for what?

If it's not reported, it's not fixed. How badly does it bug you?

At a certain point, I started to be so tired that I stop worrying about bugs in Mac OS X (10.4): I have initialized my hard disk and re-installed version 10.3.9.

How many people are in the beta lists (received preliminary versions of Mac OS X) and who does not saw those obvious bugs ?

So, I understand the gal/guy who does not report bugs on a released software (even if I prefer that bugs have to be reported)...

Emile

PS: try the following script in a standard window, then click in the button on the right of the window to set it as a Metal window (show left pane):

tell application "Finder" set position of front window to {0, 44} end tell

Also, run that script on the "Computer window", then click to show the left pane, click to hide it (do that two or three more times) and what happens ?
strange feature, isn't it ?

Worst, I always hide the (window) left pane and so it reappears after each boot... did you see what I mean ?

And since I use a dead line computer, what will happens to me in the following years ? Oh, maybe Mac Intel OS X will squash those bugs...
