Robert - I am probably just as confused as anybody, but I've gotten
into the habit of using this:
set applescript's text item delimiters to <blah>
Note the "'s" after applescript. I don't know if this is the right
way but it hasn't done me wrong yet!

delimiters to tab" has worked but I don't remember when.
What are the rules for using these lines? Does it need to be in a
tell block, if so, which one?
The current problem is setting the text item delimiters then going
into an Excel tell block.
