Robert - I am probably just as confused as anybody, but I've gotten
into the habit of using this:
set applescript's text item delimiters to <blah>
Note the "'s" after applescript. I don't know if this is the right
way but it hasn't done me wrong yet!
Maybe you will get as many stories as there are users, but my story
is so: berechit (in the beginning), strictly complying to ASLG, we
used "AppleScript's text item delimiters". Then, at some time that I
don't remember exactly, someone published here something by "ha ha ha
you don't need that stuff, just use 'set text item delimiters'".
Since it's shorter so, I switched to dropping the "AppleScript's "
fraction.
And now it bites me, and I have to use "AppleScript's " again.
Actually, since I work most of the time in Smile [1], I use the
shortcut: "tid(somedelimiter)", so I don't really have to care.
