haven't tested this today, but i believe 'text item delimiters' works
unless it's in an application tell block,
which then requires 'applescript's text item delimiters'.

it's exactly like needing to use 'my' before a handler call within a tell
block.
it answers the question of 'whose text item delimiters'.
otherwise the application will say 'i don't have anything called text item
delimiters'.
