I'm wondering if anyone could help me with something I'm trying to get working - I've made a program for collecting machine information for insurance purposes that I can email out to my users and get them to run themselves.
Consider putting it in a FTP archive or WWW download area instead. Running executable email attachments is not a habit you want to encourage.

In OS 9 look at Apple System Profiler. It has a much more complete dictionary than the OS X version, and pulling specific information out is easier.
