I wouldn't know about the specifics of that particular example,
The link I posted points to a web page that features instructions for
implementing a contextual menu item to accomplish the task three
different
ways: with an Automator action, with an On My Command menu item,
and with a
Big Cat menu item.

The script isn't perfect. Results are
unreliable if two mounted volumes have the same name (please see
Bug ID#
4268039). Each version of the script is completely open and
editabable. It's
even listed at ScriptBuilders.
Thanks for the info, Laine. Out of curiosity, I'd downloaded a copy
yesterday and (in rather typical fashion) dived straight past the
front end, to burrow into /Automator Version/Show Disk Image
File.action/Contents/Resources/Scripts/main.scpt. Since that appeared
to be run-only (and because I was supposed to be elsewhere anyway), I
looked no further. However, I'll try to take a more leisurely tour
soon (perhaps even entering by the front door). ;-)
If you're interested, please ask me
questions. I'll do my best to answer them. If you examine the script,
perhaps you'll even be able to recommend a workaround for the bug,
which I
would greatly appreciate.
Yeah, I'd anticipated a similar problem with the script that I
knocked together - although getting the posix paths, in the way that
I did, offered a way of differentiating between the mounted images.
(In the original version, I actually parsed the paths to simulate a
list of names. However, to keep the posted version down to a
reasonable length, I stripped out that part - along with a few other
little refinements.)
If I happen to discover anything that might be remotely useful, I'll
give you a shout.
:-)
