When using Finder windows using View as Columns and the view options
are set to show preview column the document icon will display the first
few sentences of the document. I find this very useful. I have my
project folders named after their project ID and have a text file in
each folder named "! about this project". The first five lines of this
file always looks like this:
Contact: name
phone: number
fax: number
email: address
job: description
Previously I created this file in TextWrangler and the system worked.
Recently I began generating this file via Applescript and the system no
longer works because there is no text preview. If I edit the file with
TextWrangler and save it the preview appears.
Is there a setting that I can control which will allow me to get the
file to display the preview?
