I can not figure out, however, how to script the width setting of
the columns themselves. The sidebar width is simply "sidebar width
of window..." but there's no listing for column width in the Finder
dictionary.
Does anyone have any hints on this subject?
First, get a reference to a window using ...
set winRef to window of aliasToAFolder
Then, set the column width using ...
set width of column name column of list view options of winRef to 264
The name of the column in this example is 'name column'. The name of
a column in list view always ends with 'column', for example,
'modification date column'. Looks funny, but it's what you need.
