I can't find "with transaction" in any dictionary. Are you referring to the 'begin transaction' and 'end transaction' commands in System Events?

It sounds like this is exactly what the "with transaction" block is designed to do. I have never tried using it, but it is described well in Matt Neuburg's book. I assume that how well it works depends on how it is implemented in the app you are controlling.
